SimplyTag 1.0 – Official Release

We are happy to announce the first official release of our newest product – SimplyTag. It is designed for users who organize their Outlook email using categories and tags.

There are two types of email users – “filers” and “pilers”. Filers organize email messages by filing them into a well designed folder hierarchy. Pilers usually keep their messages in one folder, usually called “Archive” and rely on search and tagging to find messages.

There are various pros and cons of using folders versus categories. Some users think folders are more intuitive. Others believe categories and tags are more flexible.

One of our most popular products, SimplyFile, has been very popular with filers. With SimplyTag, we are now able to help users who rely on tags and categories.

This release adds a new option – Generate SharePoint Compatible Names. This option allows using MessageSave to save Outlook messages directly to a mapped SharePoint drive.

QuickJump 1.2.1.55 release

QuickJump 1.2.1.55 introduces the following new functionality:

  • Support for standard Windows “Browse For Folder” dialogs
  • Support for Windows Command Processor (cmd.exe)

Browse for Folders

QuickJump is now able to change folders in the Windows built-in “Browse For Folder” dialogs. It will work the same way as it does in the “Save As” and “File Open” dialogs.

Windows Command Processor (cmd.exe)

You can now use QuickJump to build command lines in CMD.exe. For example, you can use QuickJump to quickly cd to any directory (video link). It will also work for building any command line which involves directory path.

SimplyFile 3.1.0.249 release

Today we released SimplyFile 3.1.0.249. Some of the changes include:

  • Support for filing messages sent using the new “Inline reply” feature of Outlook 2013.
  • Small bug fixes.

To upgrade, simply download and install the latest evaluation version from our website or use the “Check for Updates” button on the SimplyFile drop-down menu.
